covid- 19 protocols

In response to COVID-19 and government regulations, we are operating at half the capacity of space and are only accepting 12 children at this time.

Upon entering the space, only one parent can drop off their child(ren) and both parent and child’s temperature will be taken and will asked to answer questions related to symptoms of COVID 19. Hand sanitizer will be available at the entrance.

Child(ren) will be sent home if they present any symptoms related to COVID 19 and are legally required to isolate for at least 10 days from the start of the symptoms or until the symptoms resolve, whichever is longer.

At LHP, we will be washing children’s hands when coming into the space, before and after meals, after bathroom breaks and anytime they sneeze of cough in their hands.

There will be lots of outdoor play when weather is permitting to allow for physical distancing. The indoor space allows for plenty of room for children to spread out and play and with the lower capacity of students this will be beneficial in promoting physical distancing. But because of the natural inclination for children to be close to each other, they will be monitored by a teacher if they are in close proximity.

The toys will be sanitized daily and toys that are put into the mouths of kids will be taken away immediately and sanitized.

Each child will receive their own special container of toys that will be theirs to use (play doh, crayons, toys of interest). These containers will not need to be sanitized daily because these will only be available for that specific child. This will be monitored by the teachers in charge and there will be specific times set for children to play with these toys.
